Artificial intelligence (AI) can help companies in the manufacturing industry (3D printing) to explore new material combinations faster, in particular those that can optimize recycling or sustainable use of materials, thus improving product performance and improving environmental sustainability.
Chen Shenghui, Minister of the Government of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Young people, made the above declaration when he spoke during the 13th World Summit in the Manufacturing of Additives.
He stressed that the additive manufacturing industry of my country should still achieve high -quality growth by promoting green development, by strengthening the application of AI technology and collaborating with partners.
Chen Shenghui stressed that additive manufacturing is an ideal area for obtaining green development, because in relation to traditional manufacturing, additive manufacturing uses less materials and energy due to precision and can use recyclable and durable materials in the production process.
In addition, he also thinks that the additive manufacturing industry must develop with AI technology. “Companies can use generative design algorithms to create effective and geometrically complex conceptions. Efficiency and competitiveness. “”
In order to better reach green growth and develop with artificial intelligence, the additive manufacturing industry must also strengthen partnerships.
Chen Shenghui has revealed that the additive manufacturing service provider JSSB is currently working with the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Portfolio (NAMIC) to establish an inventory of digital parts produced locally. In addition, the Singapore Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and the Singapore Deep Skills Development Authority (SSG) will work with Namic to examine the national skills certification framework for additive manufacturing work.
The manufacturer EngTek will jointly establish a local technological excellence center with Namic to support the development of new additive manufacturing capacities in industries such as the automobile, semiconductors and life sciences, and cultivate professional talents. Meanwhile, the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) and Namic launched the third phase of the joint industrial program for the manufacture of marine additives, aimed at promoting the application of additive manufacturing in the maritime field.
