Humanoid robots are not dreams: 20,000 budget + 3D printing, rub one at home, the drawings have lavished

3D Printed Suppressor Files

The Boston Dynamics Atlas, Optimus de Tesla, Uniree G1 by Yushu Technology, etc., these long-awaited humanoid robots accelerate their passage from science fiction to reality.

The first time that Volkswagen has really come into contact with them, perhaps like me, was on the stage of the CCTV Spring Spring Festival of CCTV from last year-the group of humanoid robots carrying “northeast flower cotton jackets” and dancing Yangko, presented the cold technology of humanoid robots to the national public of the land for the first time. If you have been moved by this and want to have your own humanoid robot, reality can discourage you – the price of hundreds of thousands of yuan is far from affordable by ordinary people.
But now the opportunity is: for only 23,000 yuan, you can build your own humanoid robot. Of course, the premise is that you must also have a 3D printer – with it, you can make this “high -tech dream” by doing it at home.

According to the resource library, researchers from the University of Berkeley recently published a “Berkeley Humanoid Robot Lite version»(The new open source project by Berkeley Humanoid Lite).

To achieve this, the research team has opened all the resources required by the online robot, including the necessary design drawings and a detailed list of components. To be precise, it is a medium-sized two-sided humanoid robot with a height of approximately 0.8 meters, almost equivalent to the height of a toddler.

It is revealed that the total cost of a full set of humanoid robots in China is around US $ 3,236 (around 23,000 RMB). All non -standard components are designed to situate in a print volume of 200 × 200 × 200 mm, so only a common quality 3D printer must be able to print. Most importantly, all CAD files, firmware programs and training scripts required for the project have been published for free on Github under an open source license. The project address is: Hybridrobotics / Berkeley-Humanoid-Lite.

The heart of the system consists of an Intel N95 host and a 4000mah battery, which can provide up to around 30 minutes of battery life. In addition, the robot transmission part uses 22 cycloid gearboxes that can be manufactured thanks to 3D printing, by replacing traditional metal gears, considerably reducing the manufacturing threshold and the overall cost.
It’s 2025, can you not find a reason to buy a 3D printer? Print basketball balloons, make shoes, make toys and even humanoid robots can do it yourself.
Finally, there is only one 3D printer between you and “make freedom”.
