Say goodbye to the propeller! Speed 200 kilometers per hour, automatic steering wheel: “flywheel motorcycle” printed in 3D is here

Remember the flying motorcycle at Star Wars? There is a real version now.

On May 8, 2025, according to the Library of Resources, the Polish inventor and entrepreneur Tomasz Patan recently completed a convincing project – Airbike. This air superbike which combines reaction propulsion and 3D printing technology underlines a new direction for future urban trips at low altitude.
Unlike the plane that only remained in the “concept scene” in the past, Airbike finished verification of the flight on the ground in multi-terrain environments: it gently navigates on the desert, crosses the forest areas and successfully hovered in complex reliefs and takes off. Various events show that it is not only a simple prototype, but a finished product which should be close to marketing.

In terms of appearance design, Airbike abandons the redundant structure of traditional planes and adopts a highly integrated and dense frame to uniformly pack the jet propulsion system, the flight balance control unit and cockpit in a compact fuselage. Its unique angular support is not only doubled by landing gear, but also obtains the best balance between light and structural resistance thanks to the composite design of curved pipes.

In terms of power and flight methods, Airbike rests completely on the jet propulsion system, canceling the external propeller, the structures of rotor and common wings of traditional aircraft. It can carry out vertical takeoff and landing, stable steering wheel and front flight depending on the structure of the fuselage and the jet device alone, considerably improving safety and controllability.

In terms of manufacturing materials and processes, Airbike uses a large number of carbon fiber shells and3D printing structural partsThe overall weight is only seventh from that of a motorcycle of the same size. This slight design guarantees not only the structural force, but also considerably improves the handling of the entire vehicle, which allows it to make the shuttle in a flexible manner through complex terrains such as urban tracks and forest clearances.

The cockpit adopts an open arrangement and the cyclist operates the plane in a posture similar to that of a traditional motorcycle. The conception of vision without obstruction at 360 degrees improves immersion and spatial perception during the flight, offering users an unprecedented air driving experience.

While we always expect the “blow” to become a daily reality, an airplane like Airbike which is full of futuristic temperament and science fiction can be the choice of which countless people have dreamed. The most important thing is that it seems safe enough because there are no proposed propellers.
Currently, the Aerial Superbike is still at the prototype stadium, but Tomasz Patan said that the product is “very likely” to be launched on the market in the near future, promising to publish more details soon.
