After all, the reason why consumer quality 3D printing can achieve today’s achievements is inseparable from the promotion of open source software such as Cura, Slic3R and Orcaslier.

In other words, it is positioned as universal slicing software, not the exclusive tool of a manufacturer.
If you have to say that Prismslicer is the only gap, it is not open source, but is published using a paying model based on a subscription. The lowest “amateur version” costs € 60 per year (around $ 68), but only supports monochrome printing. If you want to unlock basic functions such as multi-material printing, you must choose “professional edition”, with annual costs of up to 5,000 euros (around 5,625 US dollars). It is still not low for individual users or small teams.
However, with the general version of Prismslier, we have every reason to believe that national technology experts can also make their own version, and that is perhaps another branch. Until then, if there are several 3D printers in really practical and affordable office level color level, you may not say that color 3D printing will be “not popular”. After all, market demand has always been there, but there is always a really “easy to use and easy to buy solution”.
